Kayaking Guides

Monterey Bay Kayaks is currently hiring Kayaking Guides to lead natural history tours at both of our locations. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who enjoy working with the public, in a fast-paced, active, outdoor setting.

Paddle sport experience and strong environmental science background preferred, but not required. Enthusiasm for outdoor recreation, the marine environment, and sharing your passion with others is most important. Ability to self-direct, and work as part of a team is essential for this position. Successful applicants will receive training and certification in Sea Kayaking and local natural history.

Retail Sales

Last Tuesday, December 4, the Monterey City Council unanimously voted to retain our buildings and to negotiate a 10 year lease with both Adventures By the Sea (ABTS) and us. They also directed the city staff to pursue feasibility studies on relocating MBK within the next 10 years when (and if) a new facility becomes available on the east Catellus property.
