Parking fees of $1.00 an hour or $8.00 for the day are collected by the City of Monterey for all vehicles parked in the lot in front of our store. |

Parking fees for vehicles only are $3.00/4 hours or $5.00/12 hours. A fee for vehicles launching their own kayaks is $8.00/12 hours. These fees are collected by the Moss Landing Harbor District for all vehicles parked in the North Harbor parking lot. |

— Reservation Policies —

- Reservations are recommended for tours, classes and rentals and require payment in advance. We need 7 days notice for a full refund, unless MBK cancels due to weather conditions or forecasts.
- Light rain or fog will not always cancel as long as water conditions remain calm. Overcast days can provide ideal paddling conditions with some of the best wildlife viewing.
- We recommend starting as early as possible to avoid the chance of your program being shortened or canceled due to wind.
- Walk-Ins for rentals are always welcome! Arrive early for best selection. Kayaks cannot be guaranteed without a reservation, but are usually available after a short wait.
— What to Wear & Bring —
For Family Adventure Tours, Rentals or Classes:
- We Provide: wetsuits, life jackets and paddling jackets.
- You Should Bring: bathing suits, towels, non-cotton tops or fleece and footwear that can get wet. Bring a lunch if you are joining an all-day program.
For Closed Deck Guided Tours:
Wetsuits are not required. Dress in layers for coastal weather. We suggest fleece tops and bottoms, wind breaker and footwear that can get wet.
Hats, sunglasses, eyeglass retainers, sunscreen, cameras, drinks and snacks are also available at both of our stores!

NWS forecasts are updated throughout the day. The marine radio is updated simultaneously as both sources receive the same information.
